Art-Fx produces banners of all types and sizes. Like any other type of sign, material selection is critical. We offer banners in weights ranging from 10 oz. up to 19 oz. The weight of banner material is relative to it’s thickness and durability. Light-weight banners (10 oz) are good for short-term (1-2 days) outdoor use or for any indoor use. Light-weight banners are not fully opaque, so lettering can only be displayed on one side. Heavier banner materials are needed for double-sided banners and other outdoor applications. When hanging a banner between poles or structures, it is important to use a heavy banner to avoid premature failure/damage. Vinyl banners are also often used as an inexpensive alternative for billboard faces.
